Workshop Programme Overview
Academic Year 2012/2013

The NIPT, in collaboration with the Education Centre Network (ATECI), will facilitate a workshop programme for newly qualified primary and post-primary teachers (NQTs). The workshop programme will consist of a series of 12 workshops and will be facilitated by practising teachers who have received NIPT facilitator training. The workshops will be interactive and based on practical learning experiences. Opportunities will be afforded to NQTs to build on the learning experiences at ITE level and to engage in professional diaglogue with other NQTs, based on current learning experiences and needs. Four of the workshops will be delivered on a cross-secotroal basis to both primary and post-primary NQTs and the remaining eight workshops will be delivered on a sector-specific basis.

The series of workshops will be offered through each of the 21 full-time education centres throughout the country. If you wish to complete the 12 workshops in the academic year 2012-2013, it is advisable to register with your local full-time education centre before Monday 27th August 2012. Please note that NQTs may register whether in employment or not. .
