This webinar empowers teachers as they enable students to 'find their voice' while exploring powerful questions in William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. It supports teachers in developing students’ critical thinking skills to meet the challenges of the prescribed text in the final state examination. The webinar will also illustrate scaffolded writing opportunities and these opportunities will be enriched by the introduction of other short stimulus pieces that will support students' learning assessed in Leaving Certificate, Higher Level, Paper One.
Teachers who attend the webinar will also receive a copy of the slides.
Presenters, Ann Marie Garvey, and Elaine McGowan, two practicing teachers of English will discuss how they make the intended learning explicit in the classroom, and how to use a range of resources to deepen and consolidate this learning.
