If your school is embarking on the introduction of Coding or simply looking for additional resources, we would like to invite you to join Darren Bayliss, the Code Club Programme Coordinator. Darren will be on hand to welcome you to the community and tell you everything you need to know about "Establishing Your Own Code Club".
Code Club provides FREE projects and resources for you to run a Code Club for pupils within your school.
You don't need to have coding knowledge to run a club. Using our step-by-step project guides for Scratch, Python and HTML/CSS is a great way to learn skills and build coding confidence for both you and your students.
You can choose to run the club by yourself, or if you'd like some help, you can advertise for volunteers in your local area through our website.
During the workshop, we will explore
Free, hands-on, step-by-step unplugged and plugged coding activities whilst discovering the fundamentals of programming using the block-based programming language Scratch.
Investigate a range of pedagogical approaches suitable for teaching programming to school pupils.
Free online training modules for teachers who are new to Coding so they can learn skills alongside their pupils
Registration to Code Club is FREE, and all clubs.
Every new club will receive an exclusive digital Club Organiser Pack.
Personal support for you and your club from Darren Bayliss - Code Club Programme Coordinator - Ireland.
