Write to Learn - 2nd to 6th Class

Written expression from 2nd- 6th class; using OT knowledge and ideas for teaching, remediation & assistive technology. Not having adequate writing skills as a tool for learning becomes a significant obstacle for academic development and the development of self-esteem. This webinar will help teachers to evaluate handwriting skills and to provide handwriting support. This is an important stage for remediation or for considering alternatives!

Facilitator - Ageeth Hup

Ageeth is a Senior Occupational Therapist and former primary teacher with 30+ years of experience working with children in education and healthcare settings in the Netherlands and Ireland.

She started her own private practice CAN-DO OT in 2012 and also works as an OT and a guest tutor/lecturer at Mary Immaculate College.

Ageeth is passionate about empowering teachers and SNA’s by expanding their knowledge and exploring new perspectives.

By understanding and acknowledging a child’s strengths and needs, every teacher and SNA can be that important adult in a child’s daily life who makes a real difference.
