Join Sarah Mackay on a tour of Limerick city & county to bring the history, culture, stories and geography of Limerick city and county to life.
This course aims to:
· excite and encourage teachers to bring their pupils out of the classroom and engage them with hands on experiential immersive approaches to exploring SESE; Literacy; the Arts etc.
· deepen teachers existing knowledge of historical sites in the city and county.
· engage teachers’ in quality CPD in order to enhance the teaching and learning in their classrooms

Sarah Mackey has been teaching for over 20 years in primary school and has run numerous courses in Education Centres over the years including history based walking summer courses for teachers in Dublin and Limerick. The course is aimed at everyone with an interest in heritage and history. It will hopefully bring Limerick’s history to life for participants and give teachers some new knowledge, some interesting facts and some fun activity ideas to bring back to their classes in September.

All our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable. Course Fees are not transferrable to another teacher. Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your place on one of our courses or you are unable to attend the course, we are not in a position to refund fees.
In the event that the minimum number of participants required do not apply then the Centre will be obliged to cancel the course, you may be offered a place on another course or given a refund.
