Effective Use of Digital Technologies in Your School PDST TiE

Participants in this PDST TiE course will explore practical strategies and resources for effectively using digital technology in their school. The course will explore a range of digital tools to allow teachers to maximise their use of digital technologies in the context of class, school, and level of experience.

Teachers will interact and experiment with an array of current tools, websites, and technologies to support their classroom practice, while also exploring how to use these technologies to support pupils with diverse learning needs, creating an inclusive learning environment for all.

Teachers will also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues, share knowledge, and explore ways to practically implement their learnings in the coming school year.

Tutor: Patrick O’Neill

Patrick teaches in a large Irish medium school in Limerick city, and has taught in a multitude of settings over his thirteen years service.  During those years he has completed a Masters Degree in ICT, a Graduate Diploma in Special Education Needs and has delivered courses for the PDST and Limerick Education and Support Centre also.  Patrick has an interest in embedding ICT and digital technology throughout the curriculum, using it to improve Teaching, Learning and Assessment in his school community, and effectively using ICT to enhance student engagement.

All our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable. Course Fees are not transferrable to another teacher. Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your place on one of our courses or you are unable to attend the course, we are not in a position to refund fees.

In the event that the minimum number of participants required do not apply then the Centre will be obliged to cancel the course, you may be offered a place on another course or given a refund.
