AI in My Life
AI in My Life is a 20-hour Transition Year module that will engage students in a dialogue around the societal implications of AI and digital innovations.
This deliberative programme provides students with an insight into:
- how AI works,
- the technology behind it,
- how to protect themselves online,
- how research in AI can impact their lives,
- encouraging students to consider choosing STEM subjects for the Leaving Certificate and subsequent STEM courses and careers.

More About the Programme
The content for these modules was co-created with Transition Year students to ensure that the module is interesting and relatable for TY students.
Teachers will be fully supported through train-the-trainers workshops and an online toolkit including course content and activities. DCU students studying STEM subjects will facilitate in-person workshops with the students on the topics addressed in this module.
Want to Get Involved Sooner?
We are looking for schools to work with us in March- May ‘22 to co-create and shape the content for the programme. We know that no one knows more about what's important and interesting to students than the students themselves, and the people who spend most time with them, in this case their teachers.
We are inviting schools to let us know if their students would be interested in helping us improve our current offering through co-creation workshops.
These will be a series of 3 short workshops which can happen over zoom or in person where we will get the students opinions on certain topics around AI and check if the content we've proposed is really answering the students and teachers needs and concerns. We are looking for 10 schools across Ireland to help us shape this programme.
If you would like to know more about this programme, or these co-creation workshops email firstname.lastname@example.org or check out our website for more information.
