Using Edpuzzle as a formative assessment tool while enhancing learner engagement

EdPuzzle is a formative assessment tool that allows teachers run a flipped classroom, assign videos for homework, or encourage asynchronous communication. Edpuzzle is a free online platform that allows teachers create or use predesigned video content to access student knowledge, promote active learning, promote engagement in and outside of the classroom. Edpuzzle also allows teachers track student engagement, progress and understanding.
This webinar would suit teachers from either a primary or post-primary background who are interested in learning about Edpuzzle and integrating in into their classroom practice.

Facilitator: Avril Egan
Avril is a secondary school teacher in Coláiste Bhaile Chláir which is a Microsoft Showcase school. Her subjects are French, and English and she has been teaching since 2007. She is the author of 'On y va', a Junior Cycle French text book.
Avril has held an assistant principal's post in teaching and learning for the last three years. She is passionate about researching and implementing initiatives and pedagogies that are innovation and which enhance student's learning but also teachers' pedagogical practice.
In 2009 she completed a Postgraduate diploma in School Leadership and has subsequently completed her Master's in School leadership which included a thesis on Online learning; An investigation into the potential for online teaching and learning in an Irish post-primary school – how to ensure high quality student learning and engagement online.
