Apple Education Learning Series

This new series looks at straight forward ways to use the iPad as a tool to aid your remote teaching and learning. The videos focus on using native iPad apps and built-in features so there is no overload of new apps to learn. Keep it simple! This series is presented by the Apple Education Leadership and Learning teams. You can find the videos at https://video.ibm.com/apple-edu-learning-series

Topics include:

Prepare resources for remote learning

Create and share presentations and demos

Create engaging video with clips

And more are being added!

As a follow-up to the series, educators can also participate in virtual conferences led by Apple Professional Learning Specialists. Each virtual conference will run for approximately 30 minutes and will provide an opportunity for educators to engage in dialogue with our team about the content provided in each video. For more details see the link above.

Apple Teacher

Apple Teacher is a free professional learning programme designed to support and celebrate educators using Apple products for teaching and learning. As an educator, you can build skills on iPad and Mac that directly apply to activities with your students, earn recognition for the new things that you learn and be rewarded for the great work you do every day.

The Apple Teacher Learning Centre has everything teachers need to build a strong foundation for using iPad, Mac and Apple apps like Pages, Keynote, Numbers, GarageBand and iMovie in the classroom. Discover more than 120 skill-building lessons that include guided tutorials, ideas on how to apply them and inspiration on how to go further with each new skill you learn. All the iBooks are available for free in the Book Store on your iPad. You can find the Apple Teacher Learning Centre at https://www.apple.com/ie/education/apple-teacher/. You will need your Apple ID and password to log in.

Everyone Can Create

The projects in the Everyone Can Create guides teach students to develop and communicate ideas through video, photography, music and drawing. And they help ignite creativity by giving teachers fun and meaningful ways to bring these skills into any lesson, in any year group. Find out more at https://www.apple.com/ie/education/everyone-can-create/. The guides can be used by teachers or students which make them a great project for students to be working on as a creative task or an extension activity.
