Literal, Loyal, and Listening: Understanding Autistic Communication

Autistic people communicate richly and honestly—but not always in ways the world is taught to expect. This session explores directness, literal language, sensory expression, and how Autistic communication reflects deep processing and connection. We’ll unpack common misunderstandings and provide practical insights to help parents, teachers, and professionals better listen, validate, and respond to Autistic voices with respect.
