CITIZEN SCIENCE AND HOW TO COLLECT MEANINGFUL ENVIRONMENTAL DATA FOR GLOBAL DECISION MAKERS THROUGH THE GLOBE PROGRAMME

In this course participants will learn how GLOBE Programme data collected by students at primary and secondary level can help inform policy at global and national levels. The course will explore how students can be citizen scientists by collecting local data on air quality, weather and climate indicators, landcover, and water quality. It will also cover local ways to use the data collected to implement climate actions at school and touch on science communication and data literacy.
