Global Citizenship Education is an active and creative educational process to increase awareness and understanding of the world in which we live. Learners are supported, in age-appropriate ways, to make connections between their own lives and international social justice issues, to collaborate, cooperate and be empowered to make a positive difference in the world.
In this workshop, teachers will:
· Discuss cross-curricular opportunities for Global Citizenship Education.
· Explore active learning methodologies for incorporating global themes into the primary classroom.
· Learn about curriculum-linked Global Citizenship Education resources for each class level.
