Understanding and Managing Conflict
In this webinar, Joe will focus on deepening participants' understanding of conflict, the triggers that can exacerbate a situation and will offer suggested approaches to managing a situation more effectively.
Learning Outcomes -

Facilitator: Dr. Joe O'Connell
Dr. Joe O’ Connell is the former Director of Limerick Education Centre. He has also served as a post-primary school principal and held the position of Director of St. Senan’s Education Office, the education secretariat for the Catholic Dioceses of Limerick, Kerry and Killaloe. His Doctoral studies in the University of Manchester focused on educational leadership and organisation and, in this regard, he has supported many school communities in managing the change process.
Joe has extensive experience in addressing issues around challenging behaviour and the management of relationships and communication within and across the school community. He has facilitated many workshops for professional bodies on challenging behaviour, having the difficult conversation and has contributed at many educational conferences and whole staff groupings, at both primary and post-primary levels, on effective communication and the management of challenging behaviour.
