This webinar explores practical, child-friendly approaches to using simple songs as the foundation for rich musical learning and meaningful Arts Integration.
Participants will discover how the nine musical elements can be taught naturally through singing, helping children develop musical understanding while providing teachers with a reusable toolkit for integrating music, drama and visual arts across the curriculum.
Aligned with the Department of Education and Youth's Primary Arts Education Specification, this practical webinar supports current curriculum priorities by promoting creative, playful and engaging learning experiences that build teacher confidence and reduce planning time.

Participants will be able to:
1. Apply the 9 musical elements (concepts) which are key ingredients and essential building blocks to Arts Integration (Page 16 of Arts Education Specification pdf)
2. Teach with more confidence by focusing on particular aspects which are easy to implement (Page 12 of Arts Education Specification pdf)

Betty Fitzgerald M Ed (Music) Music Education CPD Specialist | Choral Conductor | Confidence Coach
Betty Fitzgerald brings almost four decades of hands-on music education experience to this webinar, including nine years lecturing at MTU Cork School of Music and twenty years as a visiting music teacher across ten Cork primary schools, where she taught and worked with hundreds of teachers in their classrooms.
She holds a Master's in Education (Music) from Trinity College Dublin, and was awarded Distinction, for her dissertation which focused specifically on music CPD for primary school teachers.
At the heart of Betty’s work is one simple belief, that if a teacher is equipped with some basic musical skills and tools, they can facilitate musical growth for their pupils, regardless of their musical background.
